Live.com is ultramegahot

So, wow. live.com is awesome.

Many of you have heard of start.com. Thanks to start.com, I have grown used to reading all of my feeds and getting daily information all in one location.

When I first saw live.com awhile ago I figured it would be similar and didn't pay a huge amount of attention. It is still in a beta state, but it already solves many things for me. This is exactly what I have been looking for.

What really makes it great are the ideas and gadgets. My personal must-have-list includes the favorites gadget and the scratch pad.

I have to go off for a second about the scratch pad. This alone is worth using live.com in my opinion. Just the other day I was complaining about how often I email myself. My desk has post-it notes which I always need when I am anywhere other than at my desk. I can't leave out all the random notes that end up in pointless files because it isn't quite appropriate to add to a todo list. My point is that I always have little notes that I want to remember and have access to in the very near future. These notes don't need to live forever. The big thing is having them there when I want them. This super simple little gadget solves that. It has network or local machine storage. Yay.

As for the favorites ... finally a way of keeping my favorites available on any machine without having to have my own dumb webpage.

Other things on my live.com page include blog feed, news feed, and weather. Oh yea, and my email — all on one page. I am sure that the list of what I have on my page will grow. That is my page though. Do what you would like with yours.
